Common names: Toothed-leaved palm lily, Narrow-Leaved Palm Lily
Overview: Small shrub to 3m on margins of subtropical and dry rainforest, and in riverine scrub and moist gullies of open forest. Endemic to Australia, from NE NSW to SE Qld.
Considered a rare species, it has long, narrow, strappy, green leaves with slightly toothed margins. Numerous purplish coloured flowers are produced and it bears fruit that is orange-red in colour. It should not be confused with Cordyline rubra which also has red fruit.
Propagate readily from fresh seed, suckers or stem cuttings.
